Abstract submission


All abstract submissions have to use the Abstract Template (download here) format and is mandatory to be submitted as a PDF via our Abstract Submission Platform. Abstracts not following the format of the template here provided will be rejected. Only one abstract per presenting author will be accepted.

The posters will have to be printed in A0 format by the authors (width: 841 mm x Height: 1189 mm) (Portrait).

  • Contribute talks: 20 minutes, including discussion

  • Technology and Innovation Session (Restritect to Companies/Exhibitors): 20 minutes including discussion.

    Technology and Innovation Session (Companies/Exhibitors. Details in “Exhibitors and Sponsorship” ) the number is limited to three presentations of 20 minutes. Abstract submission requested. Abstracts not following the format of the template here provided will be rejected.

  • Poster sessions and Shotgun poster presentation.

    The authors of the abstracts accepted for Poster Presentation, will have the opportunity to highlight the work during 5 min of oral presentation in the Session “Shotgun Poster Presentation”.

    The poster should be posted on 19th February morning and stay until 21st February evening.

    Should be removed during Friday morning 22nd February.

    Poster size: A0 format (width: 841 mm x Height: 1189 mm) (Portrait).

Regular Fee: 450€ (early bird 380€)

*Accompanying person fee: 180€ (early bird 140€)

(Restricted to: Welcome reception + Excursion + School/Gala Dinner)

*All fees are independent of how many days  attending the school.


Registration will open by end of October 2018 and the early-bird rate will be available until 5th January 2019.  Students (Master and PhD students) and Post-doc should upload a proof (registration at University) or a certificate signed by the Supervisor/Adviser. The registration is validated only after payment.

Full access to the Nano-Optics School includes:

  • Lunch (4) (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) + Coffee Breaks

  • Guided Visit to INL Nano-Optics Tour

  • Welcome reception + Excursion + School-Gala Dinner

  • Book of abstracts, booklet and material distributed within Nano-Optics School

  • Full access: PhD students, Post-Doc and Regular participants
